West Dallas Community School seeks to help break the cycle of generational poverty by providing children in grades pre-k through eighth with a challenging, college preparatory, Christian education. Former students have been accepted at many of the top private and magnet schools in the Dallas area.

Volunteer opportunities include tutoring, counseling, and mentoring during the school day and after-school, sharing your talents (piano, guitar, chess, needlepoint lessons, rocketry, etc.), chaperoning field trips, administrative help, and special projects (health screenings, book fairs, fundraising events, etc.). You are invited to take a school tour, attend a chapel service, visit a classroom, or have lunch with the students. Date: M-F Time: Hours vary
